Bank of America Chicago Marathon

Louise Knudson ran a personal best time of 2:50:23 despite the heat at the Chicago Marathon this weekend in Chicago, IL. Even though Chicago is known for being a fast course, the warm temperature hampered most runners’ performances as it reached the high 70’s by the end of the race. Knudson was able to overcome this by running a smart, patient race, going out controlled in 1:26:42 then coming back with a 1:23:41 second half. Knudson’s 56th place finish bested her Boston marathon performance in the spring by just over a minute.
