’10 William & Mary grad bent on breaking PRs post-collegiately
Ford, a Lynchburg native, ran for E. C. Glass High School where she still holds the 3200m record and is the only cross country/track and field athlete to compete at all 12 state meets during her four years. Ford continued her running career at the College of William & Mary, but it wasn’t until her senior year when she had her breakthrough, with huge PRs in every event. During her time with the Tribe, she earned several All-Conference and All-East awards and qualified for the NCAA East Preliminaries in the 10k in the spring of 2010. After graduating, Ford knew she had only just begun to realize her running potential, so she was eager to continue training post-collegiately. She finished 2nd in the Virginia 10-Miler and 5th in the Boston Half Marathon in her debuts at both distances, and joins the RMR team excited to lower her PRs across the board before eventually taking the next step up to the marathon.
