Former DIII standout continues pursuing the steeplechase
Webb, formerly Rudd, competed in DIII at University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. In cross country she was a 3x All American and 2005 NCAA runner up. On the track, she became a national champion in the steeplechase in 2004, running a division record 10:26, and claimed 7 more AA spots throughout her career in the steeple and 5K.
Post collegiately, she joined the Indiana Invaders, finishing 16th at USA Club XC and 15th at US Nationals in the steeple. In ’09-10, Rudd showed range on the roads, running her half marathon debut in 1:19:05, winning the 5th Avenue open mile (4:59) and an finishing in an all time best 16:44 at the Race for the Cure 5K. 2011 saw her return to form on the track clocking a PR 5K (16:49) and steeple (10:15.5), narrowly missing the A standard to compete for the US Championship. Recently returning to Charlottesville after a brief residency in ’08, she joins the RMR team anxious to qualify for the 2012 trials in the steeplechase.
