Experienced harrier ready to take his running to the next level…

A graduate of the College of William & Mary in 2005, Bert lived in Fredericksburg, Virginia for six years as a third grade teacher. In Fredericksburg, Bert trained consistently, improving his personal bests from 5K to the marathon. High points of his running career include winning the Fredericksburg Area Running Club Coldwell-Banker Elite Grand Prix Series in 2006 and from 2008-2012 and breaking the tape at the 2012 Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon as the 2nd fastest winner in race history. Bert moved to Charlottesville to pursue his Doctorate in Instructional Technology and hopes to benefit from the rich local running community and strong team environment as a part of the Ragged Mountain Racing Team. He works for the Ed Tech department in Albemarle County Public Schools.
