Ann Mazur ran track and cross country for the University of Notre Dame (B.S. ’07, M.A. ’09) for five years. A former walk-on at Notre Dame, Mazur improved tremendously over her career to earn an All-Big East finish in cross country (12th, 2006), an All Region (21st, 2006). Ann was also a part of the first Notre Dame women’s track team to ever win the Big East Outdoor Championship (2007), scoring in the 10k, and member of the 2006 Big East Indoor Championship team.
Ann is currently pursuing her Ph. D. in English Literature at the University of Virginia. After a year off from NCAA competition before coming to Charlottesville in Fall 2009, Ann is looking forward to returning to top form and beyond.
